The right knowledge ingredients for your child

04:16 Posted by Shaikh mosin No comments

For every child - parents are their first teacher, a teacher of spirit. With this responsibility, you should provide them with the right knowledge for the betterment of their future!  Your child is an explorer who faces a future in unknown territory. As a parent you should be doing everything you can to get his/her ready for this great adventure.

Nowadays children have a lot to study in school and the academic workload has almost made them stay away from improving their general knowledge. General Knowledge doesn't just refer to the fact’s book - although for a child, general knowledge might seem an additional subject that they have to study. General knowledge is an indicator of intelligence. Today’s general knowledge, which is going to rule your children’s future, is “Technology”. That does not merely refer to having a smartphone and playing games with it !

Technology is an integral part of today's modern world and improvements are being made every day. Encourage your children to gather information about all the happenings around them – that is General Knowledge. It will not only help your child understand the world and people around him/her, but also make him/her more interesting to talk to.

Those who succeed will have the flexibility of mind to find solutions to problems they encounter. They will ask why and how? They will be curious about how things work. They will be able to get along with and work well with others.

Well, we always love to support such initiatives from parents to ensure that their child could be a part of the future race ! When children are engaged and they are interested, that's where learning takes place. To make them engaged, we suggest “Robotics” ! Its not just about learning but much more after that !

Asus aims for the heart of the home with cute do-it-all robot

01:35 Posted by Shaikh mosin 1 comment

At Computex today, Asus revealed the Zenbo home robot. Kind of like Echo meets keecker with a bit of pepper sprinkled in the mix, it's been created to offer busy modern family members a helping hand with everyday tasks like keeping the kids entertained, controlling connected smart devices and providing recipe inspiration for mealtimes. The company also sees it acting as a remote guardian for the elderly.

The Zenbo is being pitched as an entertainment center, personal assistant and home automation controller. It's able to move around the home on its own thanks to large wheels on its sides powered by electric drive, or listen out for voice commands from its owner. For homes with more than one floor level, however, it might be an idea to check where the home bot actually is before calling out for assistance, unless a Zenbo rolling, bumping and crashing down the stairs is something you particularly want to see.

When it's not displaying family photos or videos taken with its built-in camera, or acting as a touchscreen interface, its tablet-like display shows emotive expressions. It sports "high quality" integrated speakers for playing music or interacting with users, and is capable of recognizing natural speech and responding appropriately.

The Zenbo will be able to connect to home smart devices wirelessly – adjusting the air conditioner, turning lights on or off, controlling the family television, seeing who is calling through a front door cam and unlocking the smart lock remotely, and so on. Asus says that the home robot is able to learn and adapt to user preferences thanks to cooked-in artificial intelligence.
It could also announce appointment or medication reminders to seniors, and send out an SOS to a family member's smartphone if an elderly relative gets in trouble, and offer a live video feed for peace of mind comms.
When home-owners are away, the Zenbo's camera feed can be accessed remotely via a smartphone app. And the call has already gone out to developers to help expand Zenbo's feature set, by signing up for access to the free SDK via the source link below.
Asus hasn't offered any technical information on the robot at all, though chairman Jonney Shih did demonstrate a working model at a press conference in Taipei earlier today. The release date is also something of an unknown, but the price is something we can tell you. The Zenbo will cost just US$599.

Microsoft unveils the new Xbox One S

01:18 Posted by Shaikh mosin 1 comment

Do you have your best shocked face ready? Microsoft just announced a slimmer Xbox One, the Xbox One S. Okay, so the surprise was kinda ruined by a month of leaks, culminating in a picture of the thing finding its way into the wild yesterday morning. But at least now that it's official, we know exactly why Microsoft thinks you should buy a new Xbox.

The Xbox One, as attractive or unattractive as you think it is, is undoubtedly a large machine, especially compared with its main rival, the PlayStation 4. The Xbox One S is 40-percent smaller and can be safely used vertically with an official stand. Elsewhere there's an integrated power supply, meaning no more brick, and the option to include a more capacious 2TB hard drive. It's also mostly white -- a colorway Microsoft debuted for the original Xbox One.

Other changes include a USB port in the front for easy access and the dropping of the Kinect port -- there'll be a USB adapter if you want to plug in Microsoft's unloved camera accessory to the new machine. Oh, and there's a new controller! It has textured grips, improved range and Bluetooth for easy connection to a PC or laptop without adapters. It'll be bundled with the new console, but you'll also be able to buy it separately.

The Xbox One S launches this August. The 2TB version (called the "launch edition") will set you back $399, and it'll be followed by a $299 500GB version and a 1TB version at $349. There are already pre-order links on Amazon, which list a December release date for the 1TB and 500GB versions.

Why your child must be the creator of future technologies

06:09 Posted by Shaikh mosin No comments

Why your child should be the creator? Well that's a question that ponders all ! The answer to it is “ Else his service might not be required in the future – he might become jobless too !” Shocking? That's because the future is for dreamers who hope to innovate. With this shock we went onto to analyze why it is so vital that we introduce our children to the technologies of today!

Everything around us will be managed by AI (Artificial Intelligence) a technology that has the enormous capability of automating most of the jobs around us. A number of predictions have been made that say that after 2030, almost all of the white collar jobs that include, but are not limited to, diagnosing illness (medicine), software development (technology), filing a patent (law), teaching an entry level course (education), and even financial analysis (fintech) and trend analysis (e-commerce) will be automated by AI.

Robotics is the only key that possibly unlocks the nook and corners of everyone’s future. People will increasingly look for and find ways to ‘get inside’ the technology. It will no longer be that ‘black box’, and technology will be built not on ‘features’ but on the basis of ‘human’ needs. And just a few decades ago, robots were the subjects of science fiction but not anymore. Robots won't just change our lives in the future, they'll expand them. Not just for fun, but for necessity.

Countries are starting to realize that robotics in the classroom could be the key. Our educational system is not adequately preparing us for work of the future. If you want your children to be able to understand the technology that they will rule the future, then you need to start providing those building blocks from an early age.

Airbus presents 3D-printed mini aircraft

22:55 Posted by Shaikh mosin 1 comment

The world's first 3D-printed aircraft THOR on display in the Airbus booth at the International Aerospace Exhibition in Schoenefeld near Berlin, on 1 June, 2016

Dwarfed by huge jets all around, the mini-plane Thor was nonetheless an eye-catcher at the Berlin air show this week—the small Airbus marvel is the world's first 3D-printed aircraft.
Windowless, weighing in at just 21 kilos (46 pounds) and less than four metres (13 feet) long, the drone Thor—short for "Test of High-tech Objectives in Reality"—resembles a large, white model airplane.

Yet to the European aerospace giant Airbus, the small pilotless propeller aircraft is a pioneer that offers a taste of things to come—an aviation future when 3D printing technology promises to save time, fuel and money.

"This is a test of what's possible with 3D printing technology," said Detlev Konigorski, who was in charge of developing Thor for Airbus, speaking at the International Aerospace Exhibition and Air Show at Berlin's southern Schoenefeld airport.

"We want to see if we can speed up the development process by using 3D printing not just for individual parts but for an entire system."In Thor, the only parts that are not printed from a substance called polyamide are the electrical elements.

The little plane "flies beautifully, it is very stable," said its chief engineer Gunnar Haase, who conducted Thor's inaugural flight last November near the northern German city of Hamburg.
Lighter, faster, cheaper

The sky is not the limit for the technology—engineers also plan to use it in space.

‘FoldiMate is a robotic clothes and laundry folding machine; the only way it knows to fold is like an expert.

‘FoldiMate Family, our home targeted robotic laundry folder, will quickly become a must have in every household around the world.’

Standing 32 inches tall and 28 inches wide, this machine can fit in most laundry rooms and can be easily moved to different rooms -- it only weighs 65 pounds. This device was designed to sit on top of the washer, dryer or a sturdy table, and the firm offers a wheeled table so it can be moved to where you normally fold. Users simply clip their freshly washed garments to the integrated rack located on the outside of FoldiMate.

Then, using the available buttons, indicate what type of clothing it is such as pair of pants or shirt.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Users simply clip their freshly washed garments to the integrated rack located on the outside of FoldiMate.

Then, using the available buttons, indicate what type of clothing it is such as pair of pants or shirt.

FoldiMate will sense the size, fabric thickness and whether it is long-sleeve or short-sleeve and adjust to fit those characteristics.

The rack can hold about 15 to 20- pieces at a time, however it cannot handle everything in your laundry basket.

You will still have to deal with towels, undergarments and socks.

WHY YOUR CHILD SHOULD START LEARNING ONLINE!!

04:19 Posted by Shaikh mosin 6 comments
School, classroom, books have become the three components of a child’s life today. Education is evolving, we cannot teach our children in the same manner in which we were taught. Traditional classroom education fails to cater to the variation in learning ability of different kinds of students. Students cannot learn at their own pace in a classroom – the same teacher is too fast for some people, and for others he’s too slow. However, with the advent and evolution of the Internet and other information technologies, online or e-learning is becoming more and more popular. Both traditional and e- learning programs provide quality education, with the main difference between them being the content delivery method.
You can speed up or slow down as you wish. It is as personal as reading a book – some people take days to read a mystery novel and others finish it in hours.
There are 3 key benefits in which e-learning has transformed the landscape of learning and development. When compared to the traditional mode of classroom learning, there is clear evidence that e-learning brings:
  • faster delivery
  • Improved retention
  • more effective learning
Faster Delivery
“How many states does India have as per your child’s text book”?
At a time when change is faster than ever, a key advantage of e-learning is that it has quicker delivery cycle times than traditional classroom-based instruction. In fact, research indicates that e-learning reduces learning time by at least 25 to 60 percent when compared to traditional learning.
Improved retention
The combination of multimedia and instructional design can produce a very rich learning experience that is repeatable.  Throw in some good practice activities with feedback and you have a learning environment that’s going to help your learners retain the course content which will produce results.

More Effective E-learning
Studies on e-learning have made it increasingly clear that e-learning has the following positive benefits for learners:
  • better attitude toward the e-learning format and training in general
  • improved scores on tests, certifications or other evaluations
  • greater ability to apply the new knowledge or possession
  • better long-term retention of information
Your child knows to use your smartphones better than you – it’s our responsibilities to make sure they utilize those technologies for good. By learning using the same devices they use in their day-to-day lives children can become more equipped for success in all aspects. In other words, e-learning trains people using the tools and media that reflect society.
We need to embrace technology to make learning more engaging. Because when childrens are engaged and they are interested, that's where learning takes place. With all this e-learning, just imagine how better it would be to let your child learn robotics practically through an e-learning program? Well there is a big community of tech-kids out there already! Signup your child!
